Personal Progression Plan

I would love to pursue a career in animation, working either as an animator for key frames. I like the concept of storyboarding but for me I would want to work more with the visuals, such as lighting and schemes, which are also the jobs of the visual directors or colour key artists, which have located jobs in production before the actual frames are animated.

There are quite a few animation courses in the UK, however what England itself specialises in revolves around stop-motion, which has become more popular since the releases of classics such as the Wallace and Gromit series (claymation) and Postman Pat.

I am drawn more to traditional animation, which is focused more heavily on in courses such as at De Montfort University. As well as this, there are quite a few online courses that have intrigued me. Some of which are online schools taught by Disney Veterans.

By gathering a group of similar people who are enthusiastic enough to lend their own talents and knowledge, you could craft your own pilot episode for a series you have in mind and present it to the public via platforms such as Youtube. This can be quite a long route for the intial pilot to be created, but it stands a chance to be funded through crowdfunding, which is when production can be final and more solid for at least a season to follow on with
